Intel Core Ultra 7 265K overview
The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K is an unlocked Series 2 desktop processor, formerly codenamed Arrow Lake. It has 20 cores—8 Performance-cores and 12 Efficient-cores—and 20 threads. This is an official-source product record, not a BYT01 hands-on review; BYT01 has not independently measured performance, power, temperature, noise or overclocking behavior.
Frequencies, cache and power
Intel specifies a maximum turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz, with P-cores up to 5.4 GHz and E-cores up to 4.6 GHz. Base frequencies are 3.9 GHz for P-cores and 3.3 GHz for E-cores. The processor has 30 MB Intel Smart Cache and 36 MB total L2 cache. Processor base power is 125 W and maximum turbo power is 250 W.
Platform, memory and expansion
The processor uses FCLGA1851 and supports two DDR5 memory channels, up to 256 GB, and DDR5-6400, subject to motherboard and memory configuration. Intel lists PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 support with up to 24 processor lanes and configurations up to 1×16+2×4.
Graphics, NPU and identity
Integrated Intel Graphics has four Xe-cores and a maximum dynamic frequency of 2.0 GHz. Intel AI Boost provides a published 13 NPU TOPS, while overall peak platform TOPS is 33. The boxed ordering code is BX80768265K. Intel lists launch in Q4 2024.
Compatibility and buying checks
Match the exact ordering code, LGA1851 motherboard, BIOS, DDR5 memory, cooling capacity and regional warranty before purchase. Maximum turbo frequency is conditional and does not guarantee a sustained clock under every workload.
