AUTHOR & EDITORIAL OWNERSHIP
A transparent team byline
“BYT01 Editorial Team” is the collective byline used when a published article has been researched, reviewed and maintained through BYT01’s shared editorial workflow. It is not a claim that an unnamed individual performed a hands-on test.
Who this byline represents
The collective byline represents responsibility for the final published version: source selection, model identification, technical wording, translation review, disclosure of evidence limits and post-publication maintenance. It avoids attributing work to a fictional specialist or presenting an automated process as a human expert.
When an individual contributor has a verified public profile and clear responsibility for a specific article, BYT01 can use a named byline. Until then, the team byline is the more accurate description of the current workflow.
Editorial responsibilities
Source verification
Match the exact model, SKU, market and date, then preserve direct source links wherever possible.
Evidence labels
Separate manufacturer specifications, independent laboratory data, desk analysis and BYT01 hands-on measurements.
Compatibility review
Check interfaces, dimensions, platform requirements and power constraints before making a compatibility statement.
Maintenance
Record meaningful updates, correct factual errors and keep dated price snapshots distinct from live offers.
Evidence boundaries
A team byline does not change the evidence level shown in an article. A desk review remains a desk review. A retailer price remains a dated market snapshot. A third-party benchmark remains attributed to that laboratory or publisher. BYT01 does not publish a hands-on score unless the sample, environment and repeatable method are documented.
Images are also treated as evidence. Editorial illustrations are labelled as illustrations, while product photographs should retain an accurate source or media record.
Independence and commercial relationships
Affiliate links, advertising or access to a product do not purchase a favorable verdict. Relevant relationships and sample origins must be disclosed. Commercial partners may report a factual error, but the correction is evaluated against evidence rather than commercial preference.
Read the affiliate disclosure and the BYT01 methodology for the rules applied to commercial links, testing labels and editorial conclusions.
Corrections and contact
Material corrections are dated and explained under the Corrections Policy. To report an error, use the contact page and include the article URL, the exact statement and a direct supporting source.
