BYT01 evidence and testing methodology
A manual, reviewable standard for product records, prices, compatibility conclusions and future hands-on testing.
1. Evidence levels
- Tested by BYT01: a physical sample, disclosed origin, documented environment and repeatable measurements.
- Practical use: a physical sample and documented use, but not necessarily a complete lab suite.
- Evidence analysis: primary specifications and reputable third-party evidence, with no claim of physical possession.
- First look: limited verified information before a full assessment.
- Leak or forecast: clearly separated from confirmed product facts.
A final score is not allowed unless the evidence level and documentation qualify it.
2. Product and price records
A price is accepted only with a market, currency, seller, direct product URL and check date. Records older than 14 days are marked stale. Failed automated checks never overwrite the last editorially verified snapshot.
3. Compatibility checks
Rules cover CPU socket, memory generation, motherboard form factor, graphics-card length, PSU capacity and length, and M.2 form factor. These checks are preliminary. BIOS support, QVL, connector count, regional model revisions and final clearances still require the official manuals.
4. Repeatable physical testing
Future physical reviews will disclose the sample source, firmware, operating system, drivers, ambient conditions, test sequence, number of runs and how outliers are handled. Raw or summary results will be published in a form another tester can reproduce.
5. Corrections and updates
Each review and product keeps a dated update log. Price changes create historical snapshots. Material corrections state what changed and why; they are not silently rewritten.
6. Commercial independence
Retail links may be useful to readers, but seller availability does not determine editorial conclusions. Affiliate relationships, when used, are disclosed and do not convert a source page into test evidence.
